As usual, February has been great here in Naples.   I’ve had a few quick morning outings for photography during the past two weeks.  Tigertail Beach is the closest beach to my house and I spent a few hours there on an unusually cool and windy day for Naples in February.  Nearby, Isles of Capri has a dedicated paddle craft launch with access to some relatively remote areas for birding and fishing.   It’s my favorite place to kayak.   I usually take both fishing gear and a camera with a telephoto lens when I kayak.   It makes for a full boat, but I never get bored.  Lastly, Bunche Beach Preserve is a wide open, flat beach preserve in nearby Fort Myers.  I’ve made a few trips there over the years.  At daybreak, it’s  a great place for portraits of birds in good light.  Hopefully, the last half of February will be just as much fun!
